Growth habit: Plants are medium to tall; stems erect, develop rapidly and give good foliage cover

Flowers: Many blue flowers

Tubers: Oval, tubers with a smooth skin and shallow eyes, the skin and flesh are white

Growing period: Medium 90-110 days

Yield: High potential

Tuber appearance: Regular tuber shape

Tuber dormancy: Short to medium, 90 days from burn off

General: BP1 is sensitive to Metribuzin. BP1 needs lower levels of nitrogen.

Consumer properties

Eating quality: Good. Firm cooking type. It is considered as a good all rounder that is preferred by housewives.

Processing quality: Poor. It has poor dry matter content.

Keeping quality: Moderate

Late Blight: Susceptible, it is controllable by a spray program

Early Blight: Susceptible, it is controllable by a spray program

Virus diseases: Moderately susceptible to potato leaf roll virus, susceptible to PVY

Common scab: Very susceptible
